Senior Capstone: Room Magnet

For my Senior Capstone project, I worked on a team (360 Stack Consulting) of 6 back end developers and one front end developer in order to create a functional site tailored for our client - Room Magnet. Room Magnet is an innovative digital platform that serves as a host-tenant pairing service. Their goal is to connect homeowners who have additional space and those who are in need of a place to stay at a lower cost with the potential to exchange services such as household chores.

 

We conducted user research, branded the company, produced wireframes/mockups, performed user testing, and successfully merged back and front end code to create our final Room Magnet website while maintaining consistent communication with our client. Throughout this three month process, we used agile methodology including three end-of-sprint presentations to our client, teachers, and KPMG mentors. After each sprint, the 10 capstone teams were ranked accordingly due to process, design, functionality, and overall team efficiency and dynamic. 360 Stack Consulting, along with 2 other capstone teams, was selected to move on to the final round, where we presented to an audience of over 250 attendees.
